Hello I thought I would do a blog post about me Jodie the lady behind Jodie Ann Photography. I’m a Sheffield based wedding Photographer, photographing weddings UK wide. My style is Candid wedding photography, Natural wedding photography, Emotive and fun. I also add in some documentary style wedding photography.
I love being so close to the peak district and regularly photograph weddings in Derbyshire. A Yorkshire wedding photographer, Derbyshire wedding photographer and I would love to venture further to be a destination photographer.
I offer full day wedding photography packages and also half day coverage and ceremony only packages.

S6 wedding Photographer | Suzanne & Dean | Sheffield town hall & The Wisewood Inn
An S6 Sheffield wedding and city centre wedding.
I was so happy when Suzanne and Dean booked me to be their wedding photographer back in August. I’m a Sheffield wedding photographer based in the S6 area. I was booked for the ceremony until late, my half day package.
The ceremony was held at Sheffield Town Hall. Suzanne and Dean arrived together which was so lovely. Beautiful ceremony.
The reception was held at The Wisewood Inn, 539 Loxley Road, Loxley, S6 6RR.
So local to me and in such a pretty place. It was perfect for Suzanne and Dean it was a very chilled but fun reception. Some emotional speeches. Beautiful food and drinks. It was such a hot bright sunny day.

Sheffield Wedding Photographer at whitley hall
I feel I must post about a beautiful wedding back in 2022, the wedding of Fran & Richard at Whitley hall, Sheffield.
I have been a wedding photographer at Whitley hall four times now and will be back again twice this year. I love this wedding venue it’s so local to me, in such a beautiful location.
I’ve been lucky to shoot in most seasons here from a crisp winter wedding to a super heat wave wedding and the weather between.
On Fran and Richards wedding day it was so lovely, really sunny and warm.
This was my first wedding back after taking my maternity leave with my son, I was so lucky to be able get back into shooting weddings when he was 8 months old. I had recently updated all my kit, new cameras, lenses literally a fresh start! I sold my old kit on ebay along with all my film cameras which now I regret selling the film cameras…
Back to the beautiful wedding.
I covered morning prep until just after the first dance. Frans bridal party were super chilled and lovely it was a pleasure to be a part of the morning.
Richard and his grooms men arrived later that morning and we did some prep shots outside and some chilled group shots. This is the time I love to capture candid images I feel emotions are high before the ceremony and I just love being a fly on the wall.
The ceremony was outside and was so stunning, beautiful flowers by Flower Bowl Sheffield.
After they said I do we had group shots and then couple portraits. I loved the group shots and even the peacocks came to join us.
Before the wedding reception which was also being held at Whitley Hall was a chilled drinks hour or two before the evening guests arrived.
Speeches were some of the best I have ever witnessed. I love capturing the reactions from guests and the couple.
After dinner the dancing started and the dancefloor was amazing.

Cassie & Daniel | Summer wedding at Horsley Lodge Golf Club
Summer wedding at Horsley Lodge golf club. Full day wedding photography package.
Today I’m taking you back to July 2023. The wedding of Cassie & Daniel at Horsley Lodge Golf Club, Horsley Lodge Drive, Off Smalley Mill Road, Horsley, Derbyshire, DE21 5BL.
Horsley Lodge the wedding venue is so beautiful on the foothill of the peak district. One of Derbyshire’s finest golf courses makes a perfect setting for wedding portraits and group photos.
Cassie and her bridal party stayed over in the Barn cottage which was great for morning prep photos.
Such a lovely couple and having had the honour of capturing their pre wedding shoot earlier in the year I knew how good they both were to photograph.
My style of photography is very emotive and candid, very real and true. I always like the details of the day the small personal details and I like to capture and feature them in your photographs in a creative way. The beautiful wedding veil that Cassie wore was her Late beautiful mums. I wanted this to have it’s moment while we did couple portraits. Cassie and Daniel photographed through the veil which was such a stunning image.
I was booked for the full day from morning prep until just after the first dance.
The ceremony room was beautiful and really gave me an old Hollywood vibe.
I would love to work at this venue again in future.

Let me take you back to June last year when the weather was super sunny and very hot. Whitley Hall was blooming it was very green and pretty, all seasons are beautiful here.
A beautiful outdoor wedding at a Sheffield wedding venue.
Abbie and Joe had booked my full day wedding photography package from morning preparations until just after the first dance. I really felt like one of the guests being around such a friendly welcoming family.
I’m really looking forward to going back to Whitley hall few times this year, one of my favourite Sheffield wedding venues.

Wedding Photography at Sheffield Manor Lodge
Star Wars, Flowers and countryside vibes in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Such a beautiful day was had by everyone who attended the wedding of Alice and Jamie at Sheffield Manor Lodge.
This was the second time I had photographed a wedding at Sheffield Manor Lodge, what a stunning wedding venue. Not too far from Sheffield City Centre but once you get here you feel so far away, surrounded by pretty wild flower meadows I hope to be back again.
I was booked to cover the wedding ceremony and portraits after for Bride and Groom Alice and Jamie.
Jamie arrived in a Star Wars themed car which was so amazing and a surprise to myself and also the bride and groom.
The ceremony room was all set up so beautiful. Guests arrived and caught up outside waiting the arrival of Bride to be Alice who was somewhere close in the amazing Star Wars car!
